"What an incredible trip! My husband and I just got back from 6 nights at Sandos Cancun. We had an incredible time.
We ate at all the restaurants, the food was very good. We enjoyed the buffet the most because of the variety of dishes available, but the al a carte restaurants were also very good.
The beach was gorgeous, soft white sand, lots of chairs and cabanas. The ocean was rough while we were there so we did a little wading but no real swimming.
The staff were all lovely, very helpful and friendly. Gabriella and George at concierge were so friendly and helpful. The wait staff especially Misael, Fredy, Mesero, Lorenzo and Pavel were attentive and friendly. The cleaning staff were great, our room was always tidy and clean.
We had a slight hiccup when we first arrived, our ac unit wasn't working. We called down for maintenance and they sent someone. After a few tries it was decided that they couldn't fix it so we got moved. The view wasn't as nice, but omg the bed! It was 2 queens pushed together and so comfy!
The only issue we really had with the resort is that there was no quiet area on the beach or pool to relax. They have constant loud music and entertainment, which is great if you are into that kind of thing. We were going for quiet and relaxation and while we definitely were able to relax the quiet was harder to find. We also were a little sad that there were no critters on the property. We saw very few anoles and a few birds, but nothing else. Our next trip will likely be to their eco-resort.
All in all we are looking forward to our next Sandos vacation!"

Lorenzo for being the best server I’ve ever witnessed and experienced. The attention to detail and care for his guests was impeccable!! 10* stars for Lorenzo.
The beach is stunning!! Would spend every second here.
The pool was always bumping and definitely was a party spot with great music!
The only thing I’d recommend is some better communication to let guests know they need to show up to the restaurants early enough to book reservations for their night that they wanted.

"Wonderful meals. Excellent, friendly service. Our server, Lorenzo at Frattini’s, was great. The music was a bit loud though, making easy conversations a bit difficult as you had to talk loud to be heard over the music.
We have enjoyed the great variety of choices at Zango and the delicious food at StTrop with its beautiful view of both beach and pool.
The musician playing live music at the pool (trumpet, keytar, violin), and the cello player at Zango, were so talented and a joy to listen to and watch.
The hotel is very, very clean.
I do think that more outdoor chairs and lounges are needed, especially ones that offer shade, and/or disallow ‘saving’ chairs as many sit empty for most of the day with towels on them to mark as saved.
Not something that is controllable but worth mentioning, is the extreme noise, 24/7, coming from the air conditioning units at the hotel next door, making it impossible to enjoy the room balcony overlooking the pools.
The beach is beautiful.
More evening entertainment options would be welcomed but what was offered was great.
Overall a comfortably small vacation hotel, close to the airport, offering great service at a great price."
