"I recently took the Excaret ferry to Isla Mujeres, and it was a fantastic experience! One of the best tips I can share is to book your tickets online. In person, tickets cost $30 USD, but online you get a 10% discount, making it about $27 USD. Booking online also gives you the option of an open ticket, so you can board any ferry throughout the day, which is super convenient.
The ferry ride itself was smooth and enjoyable. The trip to Isla Mujeres took about 25 minutes, and the ferry was large and spacious with plenty of seating options. I sat on the top deck, where the views were amazing. Despite 30 mph winds and high waves, the ride was steady, and as someone prone to seasickness, I was happy to report I felt fine the entire time. Sitting on the top deck meant we got splashed a little, but it was just a small amount of water and didn’t affect the experience at all.
The staff was friendly, and everything ran on schedule. Whether you’re traveling for the views, comfort, or convenience, the Excaret ferry is a great choice. I’ll definitely use it again the next time I’m in Cancun!"
