"Like any fair review, it’s important to mention the good, the average, and what could be improved. I’m giving this hotel 5 stars because 4 would be unfair, although if possible, I would rate it a 4.5. Here’s why:

I was there for a full week with my wife and the kids (less than 6 year’s ) The hotel is beautiful, modern, and very clean. It’s located in a quiet area and has a large stretch of beach. During my stay, the sea was crystal-clear and deep blue, truly Caribbean-style.

Overall, the food is very good. Some dishes are excellent, while others are more “try once” and not repeat, but the variety is extensive. I stayed for a full week and never got bored with the options, which says a lot.

Regarding drinks, I really liked the setup. There are many bars throughout the hotel, as well as self-service beer taps and drink stations in different areas of the hotel. In addition, the room minibar includes beers and soft drinks, and in my case, the room also had four bottles of different liquors. This is something I’ve rarely seen and truly appreciated. Being able to pour yourself a drink in your room without calling or waiting for room service is a great touch. Ice machines are also conveniently located in the hallways.

Personally, the staff service was excellent at all times, from the lobby to housekeeping. Special congratulations to Héctor — my room was always spotless. The common areas were consistently clean, organized, and well maintained.

Points for improvement, in my opinion:

The hotel has four or five pool areas, but there is only one towel station for the entire property. If you’re staying on the opposite side of the hotel, you’ll need to walk quite a bit to pick up or return towels. It’s not a big issue, but having at least one additional towel point would be appreciated.

The dinner reservation system is honestly what kept this from being a solid 5-star experience for me. There are about five or six à la carte restaurants included for dinner, all opening around 7:00 PM. However, since there is no reservation system, you need to arrive about 30 minutes early to request a table. If there’s availability at that moment, it’s now or never — you can’t ask for a table later at, say, 9:00 PM. This forces you to adapt to their timing rather than dine when you prefer. In my case, I usually have dinner between 8:00 and 9:00 PM, so this was inconvenient. If you miss your chance, the dinner buffet is always available, but this system slightly disrupts the sense of relaxation and feels a bit rushed. That said, if you normally dine at 7:00 PM, this may not be an issue at all.

Aside from that, everything else was spectacular, and I would definitely return without hesitation."

"My wife and I stayed at this resort with our 5 year old from November 22nd to the 29th, 2025. We had an absolutely amazing time and would highly recommend this resort. The amenities, service, cleanliness were top notch. The food and selection of food options were top tier. The pool areas were always clean and very enjoyable for a 5 year old. The beach is stunning and also, fun for the whole family. We would definitely return to stay at this resort again in the future."

"Spent 14-nights here for a bit of winter sun; lots of positives.
Like all RIU hotels we have used before the staff make the hotel special. Never stop cleaning or making sure everything is in order. The food was excellent, the choice & quality of wine was good.
The themed restaurants were good, some better than others! Unlike other RIU hotels there was no limit to how often you visited. We never used the buffet in the evening during the holiday. All the food was of very good quality although thought the Mexican & Italian disappointing.
The beach front location is very nice with plenty of space, although the sea on our visit appeared to be rougher than expected.
The only niggle we both had was how rude some of the other guests were! I don’t think it’s just because we are English! We found it quite strange that people would try to enter the lift when people were trying to get out! Manners cost nothing!
Didn’t have any issues with excessive drinking by guests! Some high jinx around the pool bar to be expected but all very good humoured.
A nice break and a good advert for the RIU group!"
