What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Plaza México is lauded as a monumental and historic venue, praised for its impressive scale, excellent acoustics, and vibrant atmosphere during concerts and bullfights. Visitors appreciate the cultural significance and the wide array of food options. However, some note organizational chaos during entry for large events and the controversial nature of bullfighting itself.
"What else can be said of a landmark of this size, of this, the true experience and a treasure of a bullfight temple?? Plaza Mexico is the last classic venue still standing along with its younger brother, Sport's City Stadium, next to bullring. And it is amazing. A sole piece of concrete becomes not only the largest bullring but also the most comfortable one in the world. Is amazing how many details you can find and I've been seated from the last line of upper deck to the very front line of the ring. It's marvelous acoustic allows you to hear all aspects of bullfight from the live music and the sounds from the ring which makes a Sunday afternoon a marvelous experience. Within the entrance there are plenty pieces of art and in its walls with every plaque makes Plaza Mexico a bullfight museum of its own. Outside Plaza Mexico, the food offer is endless. Try the birria (spicy goat soup) and each of the taco multi offer which is another tour by its own right before or after each bullfight. Simply one of my favorite and most beloved places in the world. One of the finest places to enjoy the best views for any show, perfect vision and the marvelous acoustic sound which propels the Plaza Mexico experience. Ever since this 2024 reopening Plaza México encores to its own later greatness. Hope this remains for the ages."

"Watched Coco in Concert here. Not covered if it's rainy. Know that. Also, the gates and management when going into the event was pure chaos. It's an old venue. The show was spectacular though."

"An impressive open arena especially made for bull fighting. Even though I do not believe in hurting or killing animals for entertainment, you have to respect their custom.
I would say that the style here is not as flashy as the style in Spain but is still impressive. A guy alone against a mad bull fighting for his life. I watched it once and that is enough for a lifetime."
