What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Chahué Beach is praised for its beauty and less commercial feel, offering a peaceful escape. Visitors appreciate the beachfront dining options and the chance to witness stunning sunsets. However, many caution that the strong currents and steep drop-off make it unsuitable for casual swimming, advising visitors to be aware of the risks and heed lifeguard warnings.
"Wonderful beach. Had a red flag flying when we were there. Advised not to swim. Looking out at sea you can see a reef. Safest area if you must swim would be to the left of the beach. The steep drop off to the sea is obvious. I saw a couple dip in to cool off but no one was swimming. There are life guards.
Easy to get to paid just $50.00 in a taxi. We could've walked from hotel, but a hot day. Get to a large shop I believe was called Electro or similar and turn right. Very nice breeze to help you keep cool on a hot day. Local hotel happy to let you use their chairs if you buy a drink. Not as commercial as some beaches so fewer tourists."
