“Hoy hice un vuelo con mi dron en Dolores Hidalgo. Lo primero que se levanta imponente es el Monumento a los Héroes de la Independencia, símbolo de la lucha y la libertad. Al frente, en la explanada, está el monumento a Miguel Hidalgo, recordándonos el inicio de un país libre. Y al fondo, la Instancia de la Mujer, con su mural lleno de color y significado, que enmarca la escena como un lienzo vivo...

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Monumento a Miguel Hidalgo as an imposing and well-crafted statue, a powerful symbol of Mexican independence. Its historical significance and alignment with the Presidential Palace are frequently highlighted. Some reviews note that the monument could benefit from maintenance, but its impact as a historical marker remains strong.

"Beautiful monument of the "Father of the Nation" Miguel Hidalgo riding a horse. It is located next to the Dolores Hidalgo City Hall.
Just as an observation, this iconic monument urgently needs to be maintained."

Roberto Hinojosa

"It's a superbly well-made statue of Miguel Hidalgo on a horse. The painting of the presidency and the statue match if you look at them from below. It's as if Miguel Hidalgo were standing next to the eagle. The accuracy with which they did it is incredible. If it's a coincidence (which I don't believe), what a beautiful coincidence.
Personally, I really like this statue and I highly recommend looking at it when visiting the presidency or passing by the Monument to the Heroes."

Astrosfut22

"When a hero is mounted on a horse and the horse has both legs (hands) raised, it means the character died in battle. When the character is mounted on the horse and its four legs are on the ground, the hero died in bed.
And when the character is mounted on his horse and it has one leg (hand) in the air and the other three on the ground, the character was shot. Such is the case of Miguel Hidalgo on this monument!"
