While some find the hot springs themselves not exceptionally hot or crowded, the rustic charm, affordability, and surrounding hiking trails make it a worthwhile visit for nature lovers and budget travelers.
"Lots of fun at El Chorro Hot Springs - very sort hike from parking area around the dam - the hot Springs water comes bubbling right out of the rock into small pools just above the dam - there is a Mercado in Agua Caliente about 4km before you get there where you can pick up cold beer & snacks."

"$50mxp/pp for day-visit, $100mxp for camp.
What a lovely spot! It is hot spring but water is lukewarm so very pleasant temperature to swim! Also there is a spot like bathtub size to the right of the dum. That's the hot spring like 40C.
It is good spot to hang out !"

"There's a guy who collects 50 pesos per head before you get there. It's a nice spot, but the hot springs are nothing special and not all that hot. In fact, if there's more than 10 people there good luck finding a spot with warm water. If your under 30 it's a beautiful place to hang for a day, otherwise take a pass. I've been to many hot springs, both developed and remote natural, and this one wouldn't compare favourably with any I've been to."
