What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Funicular Panorámico for its stunning city views, especially at sunset, and its convenience in reaching the El Pípila monument. The clean glass and reasonable price are also highlighted positives. Some note long wait times and the many steps at the top.
"Great little trip to the top. Lots of steps on top. Great views. Lots of concrete steps to sit on. Many food/snack stands. Even a polite ghoul to brighten your photos. Walk down if legs permit."

"Make sure you purchase your ticket at the box office before getting in line. We ended up going towards sunset and only single tickets were being sold. We were heading up the hill. Since roundtrip was no longer available we had to find a cab once at the top to get back down or walk down the hill back to the city center. The cost is $40 pesos per person one-way. The wait was long, we waited around 40 minutes. The ride itself was fairly short, around 5 mins and less than 10. It does offer some great city views. By the time we got on, it was dark and we saw all the city lights and some highlight points such as the churches and university. About 8 to 10 riders per trip."

"We took the funicular today up and down at a cost of 40 pesos each way per person or 80 round trip. We had it to ourselves both ways and no wait at all to go up or down. Cash only."
