What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Malecón de La Paz as the city's vibrant social hub, highlighting its spectacular sunsets, engaging sculptures, and lively atmosphere that transitions from peaceful daytime strolls to energetic evenings. The abundance of dining options, from affordable tacos to restaurants with ocean views, is a major draw, making it an essential experience for understanding the soul of La Paz.
"If you want a good walk along a beautiful shoreline, walk on the ocean side of the malecon. Less crowded, no street vendors when we were there to bother you. Interesting artwork to look at. Impressive views out into the Sea of Cortez. The business side across the street is where most of the restaurants are, so a little more congested. This is a good morning or late afternoon spot to get a good walk in."

"The Malecón de La Paz isn’t just a boardwalk, it’s the city’s living room, street party, and catwalk rolled into one. Sunsets here flex harder than your Instagram filter, and the ocean view is free therapy. Sculptures? Half cool, half “what the hell is that,” but they keep you entertained between micheladas. By day it’s joggers and strollers, by night it turns into a neon parade of vendors, performers, and families three generations deep. Miss the Malecón and you didn’t just skip a tourist stop — you skipped the soul of La Paz."

"Amazing promenade, it’s perfect for running and even has a biking path. The sunsets are spectacular. There are many restaurants, bars and coffee shops along the strip."
