What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Playa La Picazón is a highly recommended hidden gem, celebrated for its exceptional beachside dining and unique atmosphere. Visitors rave about the delicious seafood, the scenic location, and the warm hospitality of the owners and staff. The adventurous journey to reach the spot is considered part of its charm, though it requires careful navigation and cash payment.
"CULINARY DELIGHT! We dined at La Picazon while on holiday in La Ventana. David welcomed us with a huge smile and we sat under the gorgeous palapa. The restaurant has a small bar, clean restrooms, and is beautifully decorated. David arrived with complimentary chips accompanied by an array of condiments and jalapeños. My sister had the shrimp a la diabla and I had a shrimp quesadilla. Dalila, the chef, is immensely talented! Her presentation, flavor combinations and preparations were both unique and impressive. The owner, Angel, came in during our meal and was a most gracious and congenial host. We recommend that you run…don’t walk to this jewel of a restaurant!"

"This spot was by far the best beach side restaurant that we visited in Loreto. The staff is super nice, knowledgeable, and spoke English beautifully. The food was yummy and the view was super relaxing. I hope to go back one day soon - it’s a very special spot. Roads going in and out are easy to navigate on a dry day. Just use your brain, honk at blind spots, take it slow, avoid the bigger rocks and keep going even when you start to wonder if you will make it. Riches await the adventurous at heart. Be prepared to ignore Google about 2/3 of the way there and keep on the obvious road. We drove it in a normal car just fine. I hope to return soon."

"A late afternoon dinner at this wonderful place... Down a dirt road and worth the dust to get there. Food was excellent, service was great and what a fantastic atmosphere."
