"The malecon in Mazatlan is one of the best in Mexico. My wife and I spent 2 weeks in Mazatlan and walked around every day at the malecon. And at night we would head to Plaza Machado. The malecon is usually not as busy during the day because the weather is really hot but at night it gets full of people and vendors. It is also very enjoyable to see the sunsets from the malecon. The waves hitting the rocks and the malecon wall is a great sound.
I highly recommend visiting Mazatlan and spending time at the malecon. You will love the experience."
