What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about La Estanzuela Park for its stunning waterfalls and scenic hiking trails, offering a refreshing escape within the city. While the park is beautiful and accessible, be prepared for potential crowds and slippery conditions on some trails. Arriving early and wearing appropriate footwear are key to a great experience.
"The park and walking paths are very well maintained. The park itself is very easy to get to. I would recommend arriving early as parking seemed to be somewhat limited. We had great tree coverage from the sun while walking. Plenty of insects and plants to keep an eye out for."

"Only here once so far, will be back, preferably during week day. The staff is great, the first sections of the trail are paved with flat stones and then red brick (which lol be careful on way back, as they will be slippery going down hill, and some moisture). The waterfalls are gorgeous, but must see them before other visitors muck up the waters, to appreciate their beauty. Does not seem that they limit the number of people that can enter, so be prepared for crowds, which near the last section can be challenging especially where need to hang onto secure bands for support, as that is one way traffic. The views of the surrounding Sierra Madrid mountains is spectacular, especially when the clouds / mist dance around their peaks. A very beautiful area with special flora and fauna."

"If you are out of shape, I do not recommend the hardest trail. This is a beautiful park with beautiful views. Plan on about 4 hours if you plan to take the trail all the way to the top! And make sure to wear athletic shoes. Food is not allowed after the gate."
