"The Central Zone and Plaza de Armas in Saltillo is very nice, and safe for visiting during the day. There are many things close by, Las Delicias de Mi General restaurant and The Saltillo Sarape are just down the street.
There is of course the State Government Palace of Coahuila, the Museum of Salas Carranza, and the Cathedral de Saltillo Santiago here. There are also restaurants across the street and along the Hildalgo Avenue. Parking is a task in the Central Zone, so you may need to park further South of the Plaza along the one-way street (many one ways in Saltillo) closer to The Saltillo Sarape.
