#guadalajara #gdl #mercadosanjuandedios #sanjuandedios #mexicotrip #guadalaj...

"Love this locals market. Plaza Guadalupe next door is fantastic too. Christmas Holiday market is amazing. People come from the countryside to sell hand made deer made of vines, plants, decor and ornaments. Fair prices for all. Google Translate is your friend if you don’t speak Spanish."

"This is the place to experience a completely authentic local market... inside and in the surrounding streets. Prepared and fresh foods, juices, flowers and herbs, clothing and shoes, kitchenware and religious statuary, etc. It's all here."

"Guanajuato has a great mercado which is located inside of an old train station. It is nice to see the train station structure still remain. You can easily travel back in time if you recognize how a train station operated based on some of the remains. Now you can all kinds of stands in what used to be waiting areas. You can buy fruit, meats, souvenirs, delicacies, bread, etc.
One thing you have to be careful about it holding on to the banisters while going up or down the stairs because birds poop on them. I ran my hand over one of them and got smeared nicely. 🤢 Good thing my wife was carrying disinfectant wipes otherwise I would have gone with a poopy hand until I found a restroom.
I highly recommend a visit to mercado San Juan de dios. It will be entertaining. 😊"
