Elizabeth Maldonado

"Nice historic resident/museum. The entrance was free and the only charge was 60 pesos if you wanted to take pics."

Tom Cortes

"If you want to know about the beginning of San Miguel de Allende, the beginnings of México's War of Independence and the military insurgency of Ignacio Allende, this place is a must see. Very informative displays of the history of all the above including video presentations in all the rooms. The main floor mostly speaks to the history of the area and the economy at that time. The upstairs presents personal information on Allende's family, living conditions and Allende's insurgency. Also, on the top floor, tucked into a corner, is a very detailed display of the Cañada de la Virgen archeological site."
