Templo de la Purísima Concepción a.k.a. Las Monjas Church in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. Adorning the top of the cúpula is la Virgen de la Concepción. The cúpula was added to the church at the end of the 1800’s by Zeferino Gutiérrez and it was inspired by the St. Louis des Inválidos Cathedral in Paris. The original part of the church was built in 1770. #drone #aerialphotography #churchdome ...

"This is a nice church that started as a convent. The story I was told says that the rich family of San Miguel created a combat for their daughter so that she did not have to go far away from the family. There is history it has been used as a church and an art studio.

During my time you're there was a somber funeral procession that went through parts of the town and into the church service here."
