What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Val'Quirico is widely praised for its stunning European-inspired architecture and charming atmosphere, offering a unique escape. Visitors enjoy the delightful restaurants and picturesque streets, making it a great spot for photos and leisurely exploration. However, some find it to be a manufactured experience rather than an authentic historical site.
"The best way to experience is to book a room for the night, come in the afternoon, wake up next morning to breakfast and quiet and then take the tranvia tour to Cacaxtla, returning to Puebla that evening.
Val Quirico is kind of fun but also kind of cheesy. I consists of a multitude of restaurants. And some boutique shops of higher end products that no one seems to be buying from. Like those shopping malls where one sees all the high end shops, but the people wandering around are just in jeans and t shirts. And you ask yourself, "where are the real customers for these businesses, cause they certainly aren't the people milling around in the mall?"
But it is fun. And the food is good. And the most successful thing seems to be the popcorn shop when your first come in. If I was opening up a business here, based on the visitors, I'd open up a french fry shop."

"What a hidden gem outside of San Miguel! Walked around with family and you would swear you are walking down some streets in Italy. Incredible concept and they are still adding on. Wonderful restaurants, bars and shopping throughout! Beautiful place and will return again soon!"

"It felt like a theme park with many people more concerned with selfies than anything else. I guess we were expecting something more authentic and it just left a lot to be desired. The one coffee shop we wanted to visit was closed until lunch time and we couldn’t even sit and enjoy a morning cup of coffee."
