However, some note its development has made it busier and potentially more expensive than in the past.
"This is the central Plaza of town and is always busy with tourists and locals enjoying the day. At night it comes alive with food carts, vendors and performers. The vibe from the surrounding bars and restaurants just adds to Plaza. During Dia De Muertos, the Plaza is jumping with live music and is an event that must be experienced!"

"Heart of the town, basically in the middle of a round about. Day of the dead was happening during our stay and they had the park looking very festive"

"I love sayulita! It’s developed and grown quite a bit over the last 10 years, and is no longer the sleepy hidden gem surfer town it was, but still has the artistic colorful charm it’s always had. Lots of food and shopping options, and the plaza often has fun community events and shows going on. Tacos Tal Ivan is a must, and be sure to look for the churro cart in the evenings for freshly make churros."
