🚗 Be Prepared for Winding Roads

The drive from Taxco is scenic but curvy; consider motion sickness remedies if needed. Reddit

One of the best hidden gems of Mexico is Pozos Azules! Located just outside of Taxco, Pueblo Mágico, pozas azules is a series of pools with blue water that came straight from the mountains. It’s a pretty place that is located most my off the beaten tourist path that sees relatively few visitors. And you can get here from Taxco in about 35 minutes. . . . . . . #pozosazules #méxicotravel #adven...

Reviews Summary

Pozas Azules is a stunning natural attraction with breathtaking turquoise waters and cascading pools. Visitors praise its beauty and refreshing, albeit cold, water. While the drive can be winding, the experience is highly recommended for its natural ambiance and the opportunity to support the local community through entrance and vendor fees. Reddit

"Very nice place. Entrance is 100 mxn, parking 50mxn. We went on a very quiet day, so it was even more enjoyable. It was clean and beautiful."

"Food: 4/5 (vendors)
Service: NA/5
Ambiance: 5/5
Parking: 3/5
Family friendly: 5/5
Stroller friendly: 2/5

So, the pools themselves are spectacular. Aqua , teal and turquoise color. So clean , refreshing and the water is cold just how a natural pool from a mountain is supposed to be. The pools cascade down into lower pools; probably about 7-8. Along the pathway are a couple of bridges, and a sketch staircase without adjacent to the side of the mountain. If you want IG worthy pictures, this is the route to take. Oh, BTW you'll find plenty of IG influencers there as well.

There are food, clothing and souvenir vendors strategically staged from the parking lot to the entrance of the pool and within the park itself.

This is a park and there is a fee to get in. Before that though, there is a fee to park. And parking is managed by the local community because parking is located at the people's homes.

Before all this, it's about a 40-45 min drive from Taxco through one of the most winding roads I've been on. Those with motion sickness be aware.

If you're in the area definitely drop by."

"Very pretty natural place, nice waterfalls with different spots to swim,
Don't be intimidated by the ppl that approaches you they are trying to offer to guide you,the ppl there are locals that treat you kindly, the guides are local to town and guide you and assist you volunteerly in exchange for a tip at the end. I found out all the staff here don't get paid by the government or big company. Every thing its organized by the ppl town to make their way of living.
Keep in mind the water is extremely cold, as it comes from river through mountains.
Only gave it 4 stars because the water was not clear, guide said its because it rained the previous days."
