What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Mercado de Valladolid for its vibrant atmosphere, fresh produce, and affordable prices. The cochinita pibil is a standout, and many enjoy discovering unique handmade crafts. Some find the butcher section's smell off-putting, but the fruit and vegetable area is generally well-regarded.
"I was fueling up at the petrol station opposite and I decided to have a look at this market.
It was Sunday afternoon so some stall had already closed or were shutting down.
The produce looks really good and there is another section with shoes, hats, trinkets and so on.
I bought an Obsidian bracelet and massaging stone for a fraction of the price in the centre. Some of the people here are actually making the things that they are selling.
Follow Calle 37 out of the centre and it is opposite the petrol station. It is not far."

"Great vibes with an assortment of vendors selling fresh produce and hand crafted goods. Restroom costs MX$5 to use and was relatively sanitary.
Worth a stop if you are in the area."
David Wang
"Nice little market. 1 of the buildings hosts the butchers and clothing. I'd avoid that build as the smell is not very pleasant. The other building hosts the veg and fruit. It is a newer building and much nicer to visit."
