Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Museo Regional de Antropología Carlos Pellicer Cámara for its impressive collection of Mesoamerican artifacts, particularly those from the Olmec and Maya cultures. The affordable entrance fee and air-conditioned interior are frequently highlighted as major positives, offering a cool and valuable cultural experience. Some visitors noted that exhibit signage is not bilingual, which can be a challenge for non-Spanish speakers.

"Great museum about the Mayas in Tabasco. Entrance fee was 24 pesos and well worth the hour I’ve spent here. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the air-con works great! If you’re on a walk through town, it’s a great place to cool down while informing you about the history of the Mayas and watch many very interesting artefacts. Apparently, there are other expositions as well since they were preparing a painting exhibition, but at the time of my visit that part of the museum was closed to visitors, unfortunately."

Rene Schütte-Bruns

"Nice modern building. Full with artefact of local Tabasco history. Is definitely worthy to visit. Very friendly English speaking security guy.

"Entry was free today; normally 28 pesos. 10 staff working, but we were the only visitors.
Lots of prehispanic artifacts, including the Mayan calendar predicting 2012 to be the end of the world!"
