"Very unique, cool place. Lots of little local shops, restaurants, and wildlife. Check out the crocodiles and iguana! You can also take a boat ride out to the island and explore that."

"I arrived just before sunset and when the last ferry left. They have ferry to Ixtapa island and a public beach with many shops around to buy swimming gears, food, drinks and clothing. Connected with minibuses ti Ixtapa and Zhiva( very affordable) taxi may not be that frequent after sunset. There is a swamp that is habitat to crocodiles and some strange birds!!!"

"If you’re looking for a traditional tourist beach with lots of people, activities and the accompanying noise then this is the place for you.
We rented one of the tables with umbrellas right in front of all the action. There was parasailing, a banana boat and other water activities available. They were reasonably priced, especially if you compare the cost to a typical beach in Hawaii or Southern California.
You will have local vendors passing by every few minutes. We were offered massages, pearl necklaces, sea shells, silver rings and there was even a mariachi band.
Also, the restaurant workers do try to push their expensive items to tourists. I ordered one bottle of beer and our waiter vehemently insisted that I buy a bucket of 10 beers. He kept telling me it was cheap in USD as if that would convince me to buy. LOL
There is also a sizable market with local souvenirs, shirts and fruits. A nice place to hang out and browse."
