What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Čanj Beach offers a mix of experiences, with its Pearl Beach section praised for clear waters and comfortable amenities, while other areas can be very crowded and suffer from litter. The gradual sea entry is a plus, but inconsistent toilet cleanliness and boat traffic are noted drawbacks. Many visitors recommend paying for sunbeds for a better experience.
"The beach has a section with paid sunbeds and another part where you can stay for free.
We visited in June, and it was already quite crowded. I don’t even want to imagine what it’s like during peak season.
The paid sunbed area deserves 5 stars – it’s well maintained and more comfortable.
But the free area... unfortunately, it’s worth no more than 2 stars. One reason is the behavior of some rude visitors, especially guests from Serbia and Kosovo.
And sadly, there’s garbage – on the beach, in the sea... It’s truly heartbreaking.
But littering isn’t limited to this beach – it’s something we noticed throughout Montenegro: in towns, parks, and on other beaches. And it’s clearly not only caused by tourists.
It’s really better to pay for a sunbed with an umbrella. Here, the front row costs €20 per day, and the other rows €15. The staff is kind and attentive.
The beach itself is covered with fine or small pebbles, and the entry into the sea is gradual – which is nice.
However, another big downside is the way the Delfin and Holiday boats drop off and pick up passengers directly at the beach, right among people relaxing and children playing in the water, even though there’s a pier nearby."

"Very crowded, people on top of each other, rubbish everywhere, even on the beach, parking is of course paid (5 euro a day, which is not much, but considering it's a gravel parking lot, I'm still not sure). We ran away from here, there are much nicer, quieter beaches, if you can, go there rather than here, believe me you won't regret it."

"The beach is really nice, especially the middle part of it. The water is clear and perfect for bathing and taking a swim. It's a good place to spend your vacation at. 🏖️🌊 The only thing that I'd like to see improved are the toilets."
