What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking panoramic views from Vrsuta Peak, especially during sunset and full moon. The remote and solitary atmosphere is a significant draw, offering a peaceful escape. However, the challenging pebble road requires a 4WD vehicle, and the windy, dusty conditions can be a factor.
"Drove up to the top with 3 of my friends in a Ranger to see the sunset and full moon right after the summer solstice. The road is big pebbles, not extreme though, but there was one place where I think you may really need 4wd, otherwise it would be extreme, lol. By 8pm in the town there was a crazy heat of around 32C, but here it was 26, even felt kinda chilly because of the wind. I think our arrival scared a rabbit and it hid in the bush, staying still so we even decided it was dead, but we just left it alone and lucky it recovered and was gone. Echo of some kind of dusty storm far away, the air was dusty, the sun and moon were blurry, and the bugs (Chafer) seemed like being the only flying things able to sustain the wind were very interested in exploring us. It all looked like another planet. And no other people around both times I was here. As it was Saturday night if you hold your breath through the wind you could hear far music from the parties in the different parts of the town. Awesome. Next time I'd like to come here to watch a thunderstorm."

There is a fairly easy dirt road connection from the old road between bar and Virpazar. More challenging (and probably rewarding) is the approach from the sea side..."
