What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the dreamlike, unique landscape and the incredible opportunity to see flamingos and pelicans. However, many note the extensive walking required and the lack of facilities, emphasizing the need for bikes and good optics for a fulfilling experience.
"Beautiful place, but need to have a bike, otherwise you need a whole day, probably around 16 km to walk all around. Saw a pelican, several flamingoes, storks, seesaws, etc. Take camera with a good zoom. Phone is not enough. They refused to rent the bikes, although we saw a shed full of bikes..."
Egle Chisiu
"Dreamlike.
It can be very hot, so remember sun protection and drinks. Also binoculars. The walk to the ‘lake’, where you can watch flamingos, is not short at over 30 degrees and in the blazing sun. We were there at the end of July and were able to see pelicans and flamingos, it was wonderful. A magnificent, unique landscape. An absolute recommendation."

"It's a long walk to see pelicans and flamingos and they are a long way off so you need binoculars. It is 2.50 euro entrance. There are no toilets and nowhere to buy water and only saw one information board. Would only suit serious birders"
