Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Ouzoud Waterfalls for their breathtaking natural beauty, describing them as a magical and unforgettable day trip from Marrakesh. The opportunity to see playful monkeys and enjoy a refreshing boat ride adds to the charm. While the walk involves many steps, most find it manageable, and the riverside restaurants offer delicious food with stunning views. Some note that online photos can be misleading and express concern about river pollution, but the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

""A Magical Day at the Ouzoud Waterfalls" Our day trip to the Ouzoud Waterfalls was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the scenery took our breath away — towering cascades, lush greenery, and rainbows forming in the mist. The walk down offered stunning views from every angle, and spotting the playful Barbary macaques along the way was such a treat. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, sharing fascinating facts about the local culture, history, and wildlife. We had plenty of time to relax, take photos, and even enjoy a refreshing boat ride close to the falls (prepare to get a little wet — totally worth it!). Lunch at a charming riverside restaurant was delicious, with fresh Moroccan dishes and the soothing sound of rushing water in the background. If you’re visiting Morocco, this trip is a must — it’s the perfect combination of natural beauty, light adventure, and authentic local flavor. We will cherish the memories and photos from this day for a long time!"

"Absolutely beautiful waterfall. Free to visit. Best to go just before sunset, cooler and less people. Very authentically Moroccan attraction with great restaurants with views of the falls to choose from all the way down to the bottom. There are quite few steps to navigate to the bottom but they are not steep and not too difficult to get up and down. You can stop on the way and have refreshments and rest. I did think briefly of swimming here until I saw the run off that enters the river and the amount of rubbish. Such a shame as the falls themselves are world class. There are a number of places to stay in the town if you don’t feel like the long day trip from Marrakesh. We drove from Fez and camped over night. A really beautiful drive with stunning mountain passes."

"One of the most incredibly beautiful places I’ve been to. Seeing all that made me so happy and relaxed. If you are exhausted you can jump into the water and swim. There is plenty of restaurants here which offer traditional delicious food. Highly recommend visiting this wonderful place!"
