My favourite Moments. On horseback from Tamgroute to Tinfou. Each morning I watched the sunset rise, said hello to my horse Moonlight and met the local dromadery. Adventured up dunes and made to new friends 🤠🐴 Thank you @abderrahmanerajeb our guide and @horse_riding_by_sport_travel_ for this amazing adventure! #horseriding #inmorocco #horses #lovehorses #horsebackriding #sahara #desert #moroc...

Reviews Summary

Tinfou Dunes are praised for their accessibility and offering a convenient desert experience, with many enjoying camel rides and the beautiful sunset. However, some visitors find the dunes smaller than expected and suggest heading further south for a more expansive Sahara adventure. The local hospitality is often highlighted as a positive aspect. "Two vast and rockless dunes of sand stand by the road- nothing beside remains except a lot of camels and men wanting you to ride them and cover you with blue scarves. Bit of a laugh - until the bartering begins for how much it was worth. Not as much as you pay but you knew that before you started."

Charles McMicking

"Not as impressive as the real deal down at Chegaga, but a pretty cool place to head to as a quick afternoon trip from Zagora. They have desert camps here too, which looked pretty well-organised and welcoming."

Nicki Barker

"End of the world, next stop Timbuktu . Or so it appears. Worth all the effort and time traveling from Marrakech. Rest, watch, observe as you may never have the experience of being in the Sahara. This is truly a special place.
We visited the Berber village adjacent to the dunes and enjoyed the saffron tea, conversation and camel ride but the dunes themselves are small and disappointing. If you are in a hurry and want a short experience then its a perfect place to visit but if you want the real desert experience then go further south ... i advice you to turn your direction to Erg Chebbi area!"
