The Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery is a historic site with significant architectural interest, though recent reviews highlight extensive damage from an earthquake, leaving parts in ruins. "Me Nu Brick Monastery is an interesting and historic site, surrounded by several smaller pagodas, temples, and monasteries. It’s best to visit along with the nearby religious sites to get the full experience of the area. If you’re exploring this part of Myanmar, it’s definitely worth adding to your itinerary."

Tibor

"I was travelling with my friend and decided to check out this Brick Monastery after a little scare from an earthquake nearby. We arrived at the place and was faced with a pile of collapsed bricks, or ruins. Seemed like it was already in this state when we got here, we weren't sure if it's the earthquake or just misrepresentation from the photos. A man was shouting something incoherent and running around and the entire area was chaotic. Not sure if I recommend this place."

"Destroyed by earthquake at 28 March 2025."
