"Admission is Free!
The Geological Survey Museum is located within the Namibia government ministry building. Just walk in and the museum will be right past the reception desk. All you have to do is sign-in at the front desk.
This museum is diverse in its content. It’s not just rocks - it’s fossils, mining, geography, history, politics, and so much more.
You are immersed within the heart of where real world research takes place. It is a calm and peaceful atmosphere. On a weekday I was the only one there. It is not busy at all on weekdays, and probably not super busy on weekends. You will likely have the museum to yourself.
It’s a relaxing place I would highly recommend - even if you are uninterested in the subject matter. It puts into perspective one of the major industries of the Namibia economy as well as human history itself."
