We were a group of women in our 40's to 50's. And we decided to do the 3 passes + EBC route. While we were reasonably fit for our age, most of us didn't have experience trekking for longer period of time in high altitudes. Before the trip, Bikal (the business owner) was so patient with us, answering a lot of questions, customizing the trekking itinerary, transportation and lodging options. Bikal started as a porter and then was a guide in the Himalayas himself for many years before he opened his own business, so his experience was an invaluable asset.
The day after arrival, the city tour guide Deepak introduced us to the rich heritage around Kathmandu and Nepali history and culture.
The times in the mountains of course were the most breathtaking part. We were walking quite slowly. One of us also developed some high altitude sickness. The entire trekking team - 2 guides (Roman and Prakash) and 2 porters (Jiban and Samir) - all worked together to make the trek and incredible and safer experience. Even when we need to change our trekking plans due to health and weather reasons, they made sure we were well taken care of.
We had no delays getting in and out of Lukla, even with the sudden change to our itinerary in our last couple of days, thanks to the coordinations between Roman and Bikal.
And due to that and some of the extra buffer days we planned in, we were even able to squeeze in a few days to Chitwan National Park and experienced an entirely different area of Nepal.
I would definitely highly recommend Aiming Adventure for other trekkers. I hope to return and do some treks around the Annapurna area with them in the future (when I can save up enough vacation days again)!"
