What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ramagrama Stupa is highly praised for its profound spiritual significance as the only untouched relic stupa of Gautam Buddha. Visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere, ideal for meditation, and the free entry. However, some note that the site could benefit from more promotion to attract wider recognition.
"Ramgram Stupa is one of the eight original relic stupas where the corporeal remains of Gautam Buddha was enshrined. It is located around 7 km south of Parasi, the district headquarter of Nawalparasi West. The unique feature of Ramagrama Stupa is that it is the only relic stupa that has never been opened and the relics of Lord Buddha remains untouched. Pilgrims from different countries visit this place as a holy religious sites of Buddhism. But the stupa is still lacking popularity among local people and tourists."

Go there if you want to meditated."

"This secred place was on my bucket list for a while- a significant landmark to meditate. It's mostly the Thai Monastery that has done something to promote and make it convenient for pilgrims. My sincere thanks to His Majesty the King of Thailand for making Lumbini and the entire circuit well known.
On the way to the site, at a crossroads, there was a roundabout with a Buddha statue (forgot to take. a photo). Interestingly-or perhaps oddly, for lack of a better word, the locals had decorated the Buddha's shrine with "Bajrangbali Shree Hanuman's" flag. I had inquired with a local staff on why this was done. After which I feel this is the way locals (Hindus) have ensured protection of lord Buddha with the mighty Hunuman. May the blessings and wisdom of Gautam Buddha be protected and dispersed by Hanuman for all."
