"The Friday cheese market, though touristy, is a tradition that goes hundreds of years back.
We enjoyed watching it! Make sure you come early to catch a spot. The best location is on the canal side close to the weigh house."

"Amazing experience to watch the traditional cheese market. The market is held every friday from the first friday of April to the last friday of September. Start at 10am and second round around 11am. You can learn how they trade the cheese: tasting, weighing, bargaining,... in the traditional way. Then they also share the cheese for guests to taste. It's a public event, quite crowded, then you can pay 1 euro to take picture on the old weigh"

"Very unique event, if you didn’t arrive early (9:30~) than you might be stuck behind rows of people, but thankfully there is a large screen that shows scenes from outside with the rows of cheese, and from inside with the scales to weigh the cheese.
Free event with lots of small shops around to look at once you’ve had your fill of watching the market."
