"A beautiful nature reserve you can walk around.
The loop is 14km, so take your time if you want to see something along the way."

"Today, January 10, 2020, we took a lovely walk along the Spoonbill Path. It's wonderfully situated at the back of the Noordenplassen lakes, where you can walk all the way from the residential area with its beautiful villas. We've now walked all the way to the bridge and Pirate Island, as we had to return anyway. Wonderful Dutch weather...cloudy, sunny, and rainy, but we managed 12,000 steps in nature. We also looked at the birds from the lookout points, but the distance was too far. With binoculars, it's worth it. We had a wonderful afternoon."

"Beautiful area for animals. First time in your area and unfortunately a bit of a disappointment as a birdwatcher. It's nice to be able to enter the area with a forest ranger, but like the Oostvaardersplassen, there are only a few spots where the average person can see something. Furthermore, it's completely surrounded by a cycle path/road, so the nuisance of human incompetence is unfortunately never far away. Cyclists happily singing along to each other on their bikes at 110 dB, people with speakers (because silence is apparently frightening), and crowds of chatting women passing by. Silence has become a rare art, and silence one of the rarest commodities. The hide is only accessible via a very noisy gravel path because you have to be able to get there by bike, of course. How did you come up with that? The advantage is that the animals in the area get the relative peace and quiet they need."
