Regrettably, the overall ambiance is tarnished by the abundance of bars and taverns in the surrounding area.
On a positive note, during my visit to the cathedral, I had the chance to attend a medieval religious music recital. I'm unsure if these cultural activities are regular occurrences at the church, but it was a unique (and enjoyable) experience."

"Beautiful but simple church in the heart of Amersfoort. The best thing is the amazing display of pipes on the organ. An added bonus is that it is on the Hof so there are markets and plenty of great cafes for a drink and something to eat... a personal favourite of mine is Curtis Cafe - superb cappuccino and seriously friendly staff."

"Nice impressive church on a very cute picturesque square featuring many old pretty typical Dutch houses and plenty of cafes too.
It's empty during the pandemic but it will regain the business eventually.
It was fun during 2021 February snow as there was a real snow igloo. :-)"
