What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Electric Ladyland as a truly unique and mesmerizing art experience, highlighting the vibrant fluorescent displays and the personal touch of the artist-owners. While some find it a bit small, most agree it's a worthwhile and memorable stop for its distinctive glow and psychedelic charm.
"A really interesting and unique experience. It's sort of a one-room museum very personal to the owner, Nick. He really knows his stuff and creates some of the art displayed with his girlfriend. The pictures don't do it justice.
I would recommend getting tickets in advance, sometimes you get lucky (we just arrived and got in with just 3 random other people) but sometimes he doesn't feel like it (which I totally understand) or it might be too full (the group after us had probably 15 people and the room is just too small and hot to accommodate that many). So I imagine your experience will vary.
If you're lucky to get in with a small group you'll see a unique perspective and he'll be able to answer any questions you might have."

"Cute, but cluttered, little fluorescent art shop, with a little museum in the basement. Recommend booking a time in advance, as not many people can fit. The art, some (much?) of it created by the women running the shop is interesting, and while not exactly my style I know some people who would love the colours and look of the pieces.
The museum below is just as big (or small) but less cluttered. The walls and cases are filled with all sorts of things that glow under black light. The guy who gives the tour is more than full of info all about the history, science, background, and all manner of knowledge of fluorescence! Seeing the art upstairs is cool, seeing the objects downstairs is super interesting, but really: you should be coming to listen to him and his stories and information. If you have any interest in this (and I didn't know I did before I went!) it's worth the price of admission to hear all the info. He's right, most people leave before he's done, but they're missing the best part: stories illuminated by black light."

"It is amazing place where you can get interesting tour. The entrance fee is only 5 euro, (only cash) it’s cheap for such quality and timing. I like nice lady from India and her husband from US who opened this place. They are kind and have big life experience. They collected these unusual rocks from different countries and now they have huge collection in the basement. I highly recommend you to visit it!"
