What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests consistently praise Hotel Okura Amsterdam for its exceptional service, luxurious accommodations, and stunning views, particularly from its higher-floor suites. The Japanese-inspired design and the quality of its Michelin-starred restaurants are frequently highlighted as major draws. While the breakfast buffet receives mixed reviews regarding its value for a 5-star property, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.
"We recently visited Amsterdam for the first time, and stayed at Hotel Okura for more than one week - I feel so lucky that we chose this hotel! Everyone at this hotel is phenomenal. Fantastic service, beautiful accommodations, everything is perfect. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and reasonably priced - 42 euros per person. Beautiful gym and pool area. Panorama lounge is fantastic - some reviews report poor service but there seemed to be always someone there cleaning and refreshing the items. I have nothing but positive reviews for this beautiful hotel. This hotel was close to the conference center for a work trip, but I am glad we stayed away from the main touristy area as it was a bit quieter and less hectic. Public transportation is wonderful and easy! This hotel is right on a beautiful canal. When we return to Amsterdam we will definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you to everyone at this hotel! :)"

"Dear Okura Team,
I had an amazing stay here. The staff were incredibly nice and always available. The room was gorgeous! The view alone was worth it, and all the little details (like the binoculars to check out the view and all the complimentary amenities) made it feel extra special. Breakfast was another highlight: great service and delicious food.
The hotel’s public spaces, from the lobby to the outdoor areas, were spotless and beautifully designed. And the pool, gym, and sauna facilities were genuinely impressive.
Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. Thank you to everyone involved!
With kind regards,
Bruno Machado"

"Stayed as part of our pre-boarding add-on for a Viking cruise down the Rhine to Basel, Switzerland. May I say, the hotel was spectacular! The staff was attentive and helpful. The room was perfect for two. The best part of my staff was the traditional Japenese breakfast offered. Of course the location was perfect, one can catch a tram right outside in front to be in the heart of the city in minutes!"
