Visitors consistently praise Ecomare for its dedication to seal rescue and rehabilitation, finding the experience both heartwarming and educational. The seal feeding and the Wadden Sea aquarium are frequently highlighted as major attractions. "Ecomare was absolutely wonderful! Would highly, highly recommend a visit. This sanctuary helps rehabilitate injured and ill seals including sending sick babies back to the wild when they are better and permanently housing blind adults. Make sure to watch a seal feeding and spend some time exploring the museum, small aquarium, and outdoor areas. We took a train and ferry from Amsterdam to visit Texel and would do it again even if just to visit Ecomare!"

"The main attraction is supposed to be the seals, but the aquarium in the basement was an absolute delight.
Definitely recommended."

"I went to that seal rescue center on Texel Island. The location is beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. While the entry price was a bit high, I didn’t mind as I know the money goes toward feeding the animals and maintaining the protection area.
Some parts were still under construction, but I enjoyed learning about sea animals’ life and exploring the aquarium."
