You can walk into reenactments of classroom settings throughout the decades in the museum. The desks, the resources hanging on the wall, the floor plan.

This is child friendly with interactive audio, video and physical portions. The museum makes child activity pages to encourage reflection on the main themes. A bookstore/souvenir space allows you to buy additional info on topics of interest or keep a small reminder of what you saw. The beautiful garden with picnic tables let’s you extend you time with a healthy lunch or a dessert and warm drink from the spacious café outfitted with a reading table.

"Small interesting museum in a beautiful building. This museum is about the history of education in the Netherlands. The right side of the museum is dedicated to elementary education and the left side to secondary education. In the basement there is a temporary exposition about reading. It is very interesting to see the teaching methods change over time, as well as seeing old teaching material and posters."
