The venue's transformation into a cultural hub hosting various events is also highly appreciated. While primarily known for its exhibitions, its potential for hosting performances adds to its appeal.
"The church was having a WW2 exhibition about the occupation and liberation of Groningen. It was very well presented, and the labels were both in Dutch and English, covering how the citizens of Groningen lived during the occupation, how they resisted, the battle of Groningen by the Canadian army, to the aftermath. It's very poignant, especially with the 81st anniversary of the Normandy Landings on 06th June 1944. Price per adult β¬4.50."

"We like visiting churches for their architecture so we went in and found an exhibition about the world war 2. The church building is part of a network of other churches that no longer serve as churches but more like museums. We didn't have enough time to discover the city but through the exposition, I learned a lot about the city. The text was also in English in addition to Dutch and that made it not only easier and faster to understand but also enjoyable. The kids didn't pay the entrance fee. It was an impromptu visit and totally worth it."
