📌 Save this for your next Amsterdam trip! Where to find this dreamy spot? 📍 Museumbrug, Amsterdam Everyone comes here for the iconic Rijksmuseum shot… but in my reel you’ll also spot Atlas Fiscalisten standing tall in the background. Not as famous as the museums, but it definitely makes the view extra aesthetic! 📸 Tip: Head there early morning (or at golden hour) if you want the bridge all to...

Reviews Summary

Groningen is praised for its vibrant student atmosphere and relaxed 'hippie' vibe, often compared to 'Little Amsterdam.' Visitors enjoy the city's charm, pleasant surprises around every corner, and the unique experience of its dense bicycle traffic. However, navigating the city by car and finding parking can be challenging.

"Magnificent Groningen ☮️🚲🌻
From my perspective, you could also call the city "Little Amsterdam" 🤩 On the way back from the Frisian coast, it was practically on the way.
As in a picture book, the Dutch "way of life" was once again confirmed... simply a great, relaxed hippie crowd, and you can really feel the atmosphere everywhere; the VW bus was just the icing on the cake.
Groningen is a true student city; a lot of things reminded me of Maastricht, but somehow different. Around the university and the train station, there's a bicycle density unlike anything you'd see anywhere else in Germany (not even in Münster). It's quite adventurous at times to cross the street as a pedestrian 😄
My adventure driving into the city fits in with that 😆🫣 I had chosen the most central parking garage, the outward journey was halfway okay...but on the way out, Google Maps and I were overwhelmed 🤫 Anyway, I was standing in the middle of a never-ending swarm of bicycles and buses in a pure eco-friendly lane, the bus couldn't come around the corner, and I was starting to sweat 😁 But... the Dutch were completely relaxed, and my German license plate certainly confirmed their overall impression of us Germans ✌️
This is really just a small selection of great pictures; there are some more beautiful ones in the album 🙂 Greetings from the wild Eifel - feel free to visit my blog :-)"
