"Although the museum is quite small, it was definitely worth the stop—we learned so many interesting facts, like the origins of bulbs and their use during the Second World War. Also, the two lovely ladies at the reception were incredibly warm and caring, which made the visit even more enjoyable. We also saw that the village there were some nice restaurants with a cozy vibe."

"If you are visiting the beautiful town of Lisse, then the museum is the best place to start. The VVV has an information desk here from where you can get maps and directions for a delightful and pretty walk among the stunningly beautiful tulip fields of Lisse. The ladies at the museum are very kind and helpful in giving tips for such a pleasant walk. The most accessible place to see the tulip gardens exist in the Dever area, just opposite the Intratuin Garden Center in Lisse. The Museum itself is fascinating, with a wide selection of tulip artifacts. The Museum shop has a beautiful collection of Souvenirs, and we picked up a set of lovely mugs, and this is undoubtedly going to brighten up our mornings. The shop accepts only debit cards and cash, but the kind and resourceful ladies got my Visa multi-currency debit card into working so I could pay. On the way from the Museum, remember to visit the Roman Catholic Church of St Agatha: the church is open during the day. There are also several restaurants and a branch of ' Dirk ' nearby. You can also see an old and historic Albert Heyn building near the museum."
