Visitors rave about the Binnendieze boat tour as an unusually interesting and unique way to discover Den Bosch, highlighting the historical significance of the underground canals and the engaging guides. "An unusually interesting experience that I discovered by accident. It sails the canals of Den Bosch, of which there are many more than I could have imagined. You can drive under the building through the tunnels and learn about a completely new dimension of this beautiful city. Canals were the lifeblood of life in the past and a means of supply. Each house has its own exit to the canal. The boat drivers are also guides and tell a lot of interesting facts about each part of the canal and the life related to them. The guide speaks in Dutch and tourists from other speaking areas will receive a brochure as a guide. I bought the ticket for this tour online and paid €11. The drive takes about an hour."

"We really enjoyed the tour through the city’s waterways. The Dutch and English speakers in our family enjoyed it equally. Thank you to the friendly and informative guide, who shared much about the history, architecture and beauty of Den Bosch. Suggest booking first, busy on a sunny day (we missed out on the Monday, but went on the Wednesday in a little drizzle!). Thoroughly recommend this trip."

"Really cool trip along the canals. Guide was in dutch, as expected, but english would have been appreciated, as would some cushions on the hard wooden bench seating."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
While the primary language is Dutch, English brochures are usually available, and the visual aspect of the tour is universally appealing. It's a great way to introduce kids to history in a fun and adventurous way, far more exciting than a traditional museum visit. Remember to book tickets in advance, especially on weekends or holidays, to ensure your family gets a spot.
💰 Budget Travelers
To maximize savings, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons or on weekdays when crowds might be smaller, potentially leading to more availability. While there aren't specific discounts mentioned, the standard ticket price is quite reasonable for the experience offered. Combining the boat tour with free activities like exploring the city's streets and parks makes for an affordable yet rich Den Bosch adventure.
📸 Photography Enthusiasts
Be prepared for lower light conditions in the tunnels, so a camera with good low-light performance or a steady hand is beneficial. The unique perspective from water level, looking up at the city from below, provides a different angle than typical city photography. Remember to check if flash photography is permitted, especially in very narrow or enclosed areas, to be considerate of other passengers.
