Reviews Summary

While the Venlo City Wall Remnants are a historical point of interest, they are not a singular attraction but rather scattered fragments throughout the city. Visitors often appreciate the historical context they provide when discovered during general city exploration.

"Mr. Jigs in Venlo is a stylish boutique hotel right next to the train station — sleek, modern, clean, and in a location that honestly couldn’t be better. The concept follows its own motto: “unexpected luxury & no bullshit” — no unnecessary extras, just smart design and solid essentials.

What stood out immediately was the minimalist, very clean, yet still homely design. Nothing feels cluttered, but it also doesn’t feel cold or impersonal. My room was large, cozy, and quiet; it was easy to switch off and relax. The modern bathroom concept surprised me. I also appreciated the multimedia connection to the TV, which made it simple to plug in my own content instead of relying only on standard channels.

Breakfast fits the overall idea: not an overloaded buffet, but good essentials done well. There’s excellent coffee from a portafilter/espresso machine, fresh fruit, and croissants.

Communication with the staff was great: polite, straight to the point, and multilingual. You get the feeling that you’re welcome, and at the same time everything is efficient and uncomplicated.

The bar / lounge area on the ground floor felt very cosy, with warm ambient lighting and a relaxed vibe. It’s more like a comfortable social space than a traditional hotel lobby — very inviting.

Bottom line: a hotel that delivers what it promises. Stylish, modern, clean, top location — and definitely “unexpected luxury & no bullshit.”"

"Mr. Jigs has quickly become my absolute favorite spot to stay in Venlo! It's perfectly situated just a stone's throw from both the train station and the vibrant city center. The rooms are truly fantastic—spotless, cozy, and incredibly inviting. And don't even get me started on the breakfast—it's a delicious way to kick off the day! The staff is exceptional, going above and beyond with their warm and friendly service."

"We only stayed one night, but we enjoyed it so much. The service was extremely warm and welcoming, the family room was cosy, very clean, beds were comfy and had everything we needed. We had a good night sleep and the little breakfast with free croissants and coffee (which was delicious) was great. All in all we recommend a stay here and would choose this nice and fancy hotel again and again! Thank you so much for this fantastic experience! ♥️"
