What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests are captivated by the hotel's unique, landmark architecture and its convenient location near Zaandam station, offering easy access to Amsterdam. While the rooms and wellness facilities are generally good, some visitors noted minor issues with room comfort, spa water temperature, and occasional staff rudeness at breakfast.
"We arrived on Friday evening and had spa access and breakfast included. We checked the room and it looked alright, but it was unpleasant to find an empty mini-fridge and to be told to drink tap water 😂. The room was cold as well, and there was no option to adjust the heating.
The SPA facilities weren’t great either — the pool water was cold, and the sauna rooms were quite small, fitting only 4 people, maybe 6 at most.
Breakfast was good, not too busy, and there were plenty of seats available.
Overall, it’s a good location to spend some time and visit nearby attractions."

"Hotel is nice, facilities are good , cleaning service also good
Hotel personnel is ok and help you to resolve problems if you have
I don’t give 5 stars because the personnel in the breakfast mess is very rude, they cannot understand the problems of the travelling people who must check out early morning , I think they don’t understand travellers pay their salary!!
I had to escape to take the train I asked a cookie and she didn’t give me because the mess open at 7,30 and it was 7,20"

"Original hotel where you can dream to be whoever you want to be.
If you look out of the window don’t forget to smile and wave 👋🏼 you are gonna be photographed! This is the most photographed place jn Zaandam. 😂
Check in was smooth and all the staff were super friendly.
Rooms: the beds were individual, even though we were a couple and they were super tiny and so soft. The pillows felt more like cushions, not very comfy. The bathroom was great with a nice shower but the hair dryer is not very powerful and the handle needs to also be clean because it’s sticky and your hand gets attached to it.
Wellness: great pool, steam room and sauna. (Bathing suit required). And tiny gym but equipped with the necessary, I only missed a rack of weights.
Surroundings: lots of shops, cafes, and even a game center just in front.
Breakfast: very varied and well presented.
Thanks for the experience!"
