Reviews Summary
Jutters Mu-Zee-um Texel offers a unique collection of bizarre sea discoveries, providing a thought-provoking look at marine pollution. While the exhibits are generally well-received, some visitors have noted challenging interactions with staff regarding payment and commentary. The museum is particularly appealing during its free summer entry days.
"Zandvoort beach website takes you here.
I wanted to find the toilet, was met with an older lady with curly hair rudely refusing me because I didn’t have a euro in cash. I said I was going to buy something anyway and could I do that instead, and she said that was stupid.
I walked away and she yelled “yoohooo!” after me. She then let me use the toilet and explained that she didn’t like card because 40 cents goes to Trump and Putin - not how card companies operate - before saying that she was also a woman and they don’t get many “COLOURED” people so it was nice to see! If black people are coloured was she implying that white people are see-through? In that moment I saw through her bullshit that’s for sure.
So many problematic issues with her statement but I was so baffled in the moment that I wanted to get away from her as quickly as possible. I felt attacked, something I have experienced numerous times during my short trip to the Netherlands this year. The intelligence of the population seems to be in decline. Is that also Trump and Putin?
In the end she did have a card machine, she just couldn’t be bothered using it!"

"On some days during the summer, you can enter for free. Outside of those days, it only costs a few euros to see the most bizarre discoveries from the sea. Highly recommended if you're in Zandvoort."
