Zandvoort aan Zee is praised as a beautiful beach town easily accessible from Amsterdam by train. "Close by and easy to reach from Amsterdam by train.
While the train station is beautiful, the bath was smelly and dirty.
However, the beach itself is very organized and well signposted, with spaces for everyone, including children and families. I was amazed by the sudden organized queue that people formed - kids included - when an ice cream truck arrived, and I had to take a picture.
Additionally, there is a fantastic and huge area dedicated to nudists, where I spent all day. It was my first time, and even though I thought I was prepared, only buying a pair of flip flops, a cotton beach towel, and a hat from a small but well-furnished shop on the way to the beach, I still got a sunburn down there... 🤭
As the sun was setting and I was walking away, I was intrigued by a group of people dancing in silence. I approached them and discovered that they were all using wireless headphones that someone was lending out. They asked if I wanted to join them, and of course, even though I was tired, I said yes... yet another amazing experience in the Netherlands!"
