Reviews Summary

Kuendu Beach is praised for its wild, natural beauty and serene atmosphere, offering a peaceful escape from the city. Visitors appreciate the tranquility and scenic views, especially for drone photography. However, the lack of facilities like toilets and the closed waterslide are noted drawbacks, and the shallow, warm water isn't ideal for everyone's swimming preferences.

"Wild beach, no infrastructure at all (no toilets or drinking water, so BYO). Fine if that’s your thing, but we didn’t really enjoy it. The former hotel and waterslide are long since closed and not looking likely to reopen. Water was warm but shallow, not great for swimming. My daughter was stung by a jelly fish. Not far to drive from Noumea, but other beaches are better."

"Amazing beach 🏖️🌴 ⛱️ only 10mins drive from Nouméa Town centre. You can also visit here by bus. No public toilet but plenty of trees for shade and protection from Sun ☀️ We saw a stray dog 🐕 that we fed some biscuits. Water is warm around 22°Celsius. Kuendu Beach Resort is next to the beach where you can have amazing food and drinks at cheap price. I would like to see someone selling coconut water as there are plenty of coconut trees around."

Yogesh Nath

"If you have time then I suggest coming out here (take the L3 and it must specify Kuendu Beach as the final destination). A bus returns every hour.

You can also walk up the hill to the left of the beach and get a look at the mountains and water outside the beach.

The nearby water park is shut and there are no nearby facilities or places with fresh water, so stock up before you go.

Not sure how to get to the nearby Canons de Nouville without a car or taxi though. Too far to walk."
