"the BEST recommendation from my airBNB hosts was to do the Sawpit Gully Track. What an adventure! Did this anti-clockwise. This city-bred girl was so enthralled by EVERYTHING - 360 views. Took so many videos my phone died and I was only halfway through. THOROUGHLY enjoyed being out there. Some parts were scary for me because of my fear of heights, but such a thrilling challenge. Worth it for the views - my FAV track of the 3 months I spent in NZ."

"Arrowtown always surprised. This time with many different varieties of hiking. We have chosen German Hill.
According to satellite maps, looks like you should be able to do a loop. However, this is one way up and down walk and after you can continue with loop.
To my opinion from Arrowtown going anticlockwise is better. It says on Arrowtown website no dogs allowed but it looks like very popular place to take dog for a walk.
We will definitely explore more in the future and I am interested to take the track from Arrowtown to Coronet Peak."

"A fave hike in arrowtown for me. There are a few steep sections, but well worth it for the stunning views along the way. We hiked during autumn so the changing colours of the trees were spectacular- recommend going counter clockwise for the loop."
