"Lovely town space and os thoroughly used by the locals. Large play area for the kids with plenty of seating for adults. Clean public toilets and a convenient space that you can hire that opens on to a concreted deck, has all amenities. Lined with tress and a happy view of the village. Handy to local shops, cafes, the library and function centre.

"The Havelock North Village Green is a nice little spot close to the shops. The playground, although due to be improved was good for smaller kids, but didn't have a lot to offer the older. With the exception of the skate park that is. The playground is well designed to keep younger kids entertained for hours.
Overall it is a great park, with plenty of shaded areas, but loses a star as older kids don't have a lot to play on, but also most of the water play features weren't working properly. The main reason we decided to go to this park was because I thought the water play there was going to be awesome for our toddlers, but we were quickly dissapointed when most of it wasn't working as it should."
