"As it was our second time seeing glow worms, after taking a tour on the north island, it was fabulous to see that this place shows glow worms in a natural environment and completely free! Just 1 minute walking from the parking, and you already see the amazing creatures.
We came back when it was daylight as well, and was amazing to see how the environment is that they live in!"

"Great little roadside attraction. Interesting to see in the day and night. I would recommend trying both. This is an undercut rock formation supporting a glow worm habitat. Amazing contrast at night between the glow worms and the Milky Way."

"Visited in November at about 10pm. There was a full moon so it wasn’t completely dark but we still had a brilliant showing of glow worms in the Dell. We stayed for over an hour and saw thousands of glow worms as we got accustomed to the darkness. A really spectacular natural phenomenon and its free and relatively quiet. There were a few idiots dazzling us with head torches when they came into the dell and a few more idiots making loud travel plans in front of the glow worms but if you stay long enough you can have the place to yourself.
Very easy spot to find - just park by the sign in one of the laybys and follow the path into the dell."
